Zoology
as a subject is multi-disciplinary in nature, involving study of
organisms, their genetic, morphological and physiological attributes in
surrounding environment and their role in the conservation of
environment. The prime focus of the Department of Zoology is to impart
knowledge about major disciplines of Zoology and teach different methods
of exploration, investigation, organisation of data and its utilisation
in practical life. It seeks to develop the scientific culture and
professional skills in the students to serve in different professions in
national and international organisations.
