Institute of Hotel & Restaurant Management
I am pleased to
welcome you to the 2-Year Associate Degree Program in Hotel and
Restaurant Management. This initiative, launched in collaboration with
the Punjab Higher Education Department, is in line with the University
of Gujrat’s commitment to offer professional degrees in market-oriented
subjects and produce the right kind of workforce for the country’s
economic development.
The University
of Gujrat (UOG) is also introducing similar two-year associate degree
programs in four other subjects – Information Technology Management;
Graphic Design; Interior Design; and Paralegal Staff – and is keen on
expanding the list. Moreover, based on the success of this initiative,
the University plans to ultimately make these programs part of BS (Hons)
/ MA degree programs.
At UOG’s
Institute of Hotel and Restaurant Management (IHRM), the students will
not only get high quality education by experienced professionals but
also an opportunity to sharpen their creative skills in a highly
academic environment.
The curriculum of
the Program has been designed with the objective of producing young
professionals equipped with the latest skills, hence capable of meeting
the country’s increasing industrial and technological needs. The
Program
focuses on imparting both practical
and theoretical knowledge to students, and includes internships at
leading hotels and restaurants.
IHRM’s faculty
comprises top names in the hotel and restaurant industry, people who
have worked at the highest level and won accolades. With their guidance
and support, you can follow in their footsteps. I am sure a bright
