Department of Graphic Design

The Department of Graphic Design has been established to cater to the increasing need of producing skilled designers. Considering the constantly increasing importance of graphic design, the students are trained to meet the merging demands of the market. Graphic design as an activity and a profession is on the edge of a challenging future. Ecological, ethical, economic and social concerns demand their appropriate integration with design’s traditional focus on aesthetics, form and functional utility.

Achieving this comprehensive goal is becoming more and more dependent on the way in which designers are able to conceive and develop responsible, appropriate and exciting solutions to the many and contemporary graphic design issues. The dynamic nature of this subject demands an inter-disciplinary approach that transcends the traditional design disciplines. Such an approach requires the education of students who can meet the challenge of being flexible.
