Socio-economic
and political changes affecting globally
have drastic effects on Pakistani society. It is up to the
youth especially those studying for higher learning to face the
challenge accordingly. Youth in Pakistan must equip themselves
with the quality education. They must be vigilant about the intrigues
at home to dissociate them from the opportunities of higher education.
Students must behave responsibly to encounter the moves.
Educational planning and management at the University of Gujrat have
all prospects of becoming world class university. Academic
environment and research facilities have made Nawaz Sharif Medical
College (NSMC), the third preference in rating for choice of medical
education in Pakistan. Now, it is expected from the able guidance of
its administration that it should soon be known center of higher
learning for medical education. Campus Radio at Mass Communication and
Media Centre is operating fantastically. It must be used for the
development of society by involving the suburban area population for
their socio-economic uplift. These remarks were passed by the Vice
Chancellor, University of Gujrat while addressing the students in an
annual ceremony held for prize distribution here at Hafiz Hayat
Campus. Department of External Linkages has arranged the ceremony to
award certificates and shields to encourage students for
extracurricular activities. Shields and certificates were awarded to
those who performed exclusively in the activities. Students,
individually as well as in groups were honored certificates of
appreciation in fund raising campaign for IDPs of Swat. Vice
Chancellor, in his speech quoted the ‘letter of appreciation by the
Chancellor, for accumulating the University of Gujrat maximum
donations for IDPs in Punjab
