  Opening of Thesis Exhibition at School of Art and Design

 

The School of Art & Design at the University of Gujrat has arranged “First Thesis Exhibition” of the students of Masters in Fine Art. Exhibition was opened by the Chairman Higher Education Commission Dr Javid Laghari that will continue till 23rd of this month. In the exhibition Rizwana Ahmed has tried to portray the concept of “Self” given by Allama Iqbal, Wajiha Nayyar portray the cultural aspect of Gujrat’s civilization, Sonia Jameel gave a comparative touch of the Indus and Rajhisthani civilizations. Samia Javed portrayed the gender co-existence among youth, Neelum Bajwa captured the concept of universe, Afeera Rasul tried to capture landscaping, Sundas Riaz gave a touch to signatures, Ayesha Ayub gave an impression of time and space with regards to colours, Aysha Bilal expressed a folk character “Heer” in her work, Rabia Sajjad tried to explain social and gender issues, Salma Muzaffar presented motherly character and affection and Nadia Khokhar painted Pakistan’s problem in contemporary situation. Creative work of textile designing, photography and graphic designing was placed in the exhibition. Members of the civil society from city and around are visiting the venue.
