Nizamuddin addressed a seminar on “The Art and Science of
Questionnaire Construction” here at Hafiz Hayat Campus. Vice
Chancellor presided over the seminar. Dr. Shah while addressing the
seminar said that questionnaire construction is a significant step in
the research process especially of social sciences. He gave a detailed
briefing on the questionnaire techniques. He explained all the salient
principles involved in the construction of questionnaire. While
answering the different questions regarding questionnaire by the
students, Dr. Shah also shed light on stating the hypothesis, content
analysis, survey research, probability, sampling, reliability and
validity of the research process. Vice Chancellor while addressing the
students explained the significance of the research generally and
questionnaire construction specially. While keeping in view the
interest shown by the students in learning the social research
techniques, the Vice Chancellor said that special measures will be
taken to educate research methodology to the students. Later,
Associate Director, Social Sciences and Head of Economics Department
Prof. Dr. Atif Ali Jaffri commented on the significance of the
questionnaire. He remarked equivocally that while questionnaire
construction special attention must be paid to make the questionnaire
objective and unbiased. Associate Director, Social Sciences Dr Fozia
Maqsood while commenting on the briefing said that Mr. Shah provided
remarkable details about the important step of the research process
i.e. questionnaire construction. She said that interactivity shown by
the students indicate that they comprehended Mr. Shah briefing on the
topic. She thanked the visiting dignitary and pledged to avail his
expertise in future.
