
Nawaz Sharif Medical College (NSMC) University of Gujrat seems
to produce not merely a medical practitioner but need based
human health caretaker. The performance of medical students here
indicates that their sense of humor and aesthetic has properly
been channelized. I hope NSMC will soon be converted into a
nursery of human being health caretakers. UOG Administration
will augment the programs supporting co-curricular agenda being
carried out at the college. This was said by the Vice Chancellor
Prof Dr Mohammad Nizamuddin while addressing as the chief guest
at prize distribution ceremony –cum – first annual dinner here
today at Hafiz Hayat Campus.

NSMC Administration has arranged annual prize distribution and
welcome dinner to the new comers of the second batch. The
ceremony was arranged in lush green lawns of the college. It is
mention worthy here that NSMC remained second in the First
Professional Examinations of the University of the Health
Sciences examinations. The college has also obtained 32
distinctions in the subject of Bio-Chemistry in the said
examination. While welcoming the guests and new comer students
at NSMC, Principal Prof Dr Nasir Aziz Kambooh reiterated his
pledge to achieve distinctive results in the coming years. He
paid gratitude to the Vice Chancellor on his extra – ordinary
support building college in the shortest possible time. He also
glorified the remarkable role of Prof Syed Shabbir Hussain Shah
and Director Khizer Zaman Mehdi in this regard.

The students of first year and second year excitedly performed
to mark the occasion memorable. They played skits on different
themes of common interests of the students and faculty at NSMC
and the UOG. In the
end Vice Principal Dr Tauqir Zia Qureshi thanked the guests with
the pledge of same rather improved style of presentation in the
future. Later certificates were awarded to the distinction
holders. Principal, EDO Health and Medical Superintendent Aziz
Bhatti Shaheed Hospital, Gujrat awarded certificates to the
students. Commendation certificates were also awarded to the
teaching faculty for their exclusive hard work and commitment to
the field of medical education.
