Physics Society's Clean-Up Day
Centers of leaning can play a crucial role in
promoting habits of cleanliness and ethical values in the
society. Clean environment makes any institution more good
looking and reflective of the sophistication and life style of
the inhabitants. Physics Society initiated uniquely to clean the
campus. Hafiz Hayat Campus landscape can be heightened by
keeping it cleaner. These views were expressed by the Vice
Chancellor Prof Dr Muhammad Nizamuddin in an opening ceremony of
the “Clean up Day” activity organized by the Physics Society at
the Hafiz Hayat Campus.
While addressing the ceremony, the VC said
that educational institutions may follow different self help
schemes in the campuses. He stressed the need to create
awareness of habits of cleanliness among the students in a way
to prohibit them for sewage dispersion. Living as a responsible
person of the society, one should not rely on administrative
measures for the community affairs. The self reliance help
government to manage the affairs proficiently. The VC assured
all administrative help for such campaigns. He advised students
for creating awareness of the significance of cleanliness along
with the punctuality, rule of law, peace and tolerance through
stage drama, skits and debates. The VC said that the clean up
day at Hafiz Hayat Campus is a symbolic gesture. By following
symbolic campaigns in the society, a real agenda of progress and
development can be initiated.
Students started the clean up activity from
the Administration Block and reached the Academic Blocks with
seven different teams. Every team went to each block and
scavenged the sewage. Lecturers at Physics Department, Shujaat
Ali Khan,Imran Ali Choudhry and Mudasar Mairaj were the spirit
behind the campaign while the students activists Ibrahim Khan
and Gul Zaib were also enthusiastic on the occasion.
