"VC Greets through New
Media"
The
University of Gujrat has clinched first position in Mental Health Quiz
Competition organized by the Punjab Institute of Mental Health Center
as part of the programme to celebrate “Mental Health Week” from 5th
to Oct 10th here at Punjab Institute of Mental Health
Center, Lahore.
According to the sources, quiz teams which participated in the
competitions were the Kinnaird College University Lahore, Govt. College
University Lahore, Center for Clinical Psychology, Punjab University
Lahore and Center for Applied Psychology, PU Lahore and the University
of Gurjat.
Thirty
students from UOG Psychology Department participated in different
programmes of the “week”. Students who performed in the quiz competition
were Thaira Zafar Iqbal and Aasia Meer. Another student, Athar Mujtaba
participated in the Poster Competition and received the Certificate of
the Participation. The students received winner cups and shields for the
University. Students were led under the auspicious of faculty members
Ms. Sameera and Ms. Laila Ashraf. Vice Chancellor, Registrar, Director
Social Sciences and Coordinator Psychology Department appreciated
students for their struggle and hard work. Vice Chancellor Prof.
Muhammad Nizamuddin who is presently visiting aboard congratulated the
winners of the national competition through new media. He pledged while
greeting the winners that UOG administration will not miss any chance to
facilitate the students for co-curricular activities. He urged the
students to work hard as they are passing through the age of climax in
their life.
