‘Odium Art Society’ of
‘The School of Art and Design’ ; a faculty of the University of
Gujrat; arranged a Qira’at and Na’at Competition today the 30th
of March 2010 at 8 p.m , at Hafiz Hayat campus. Students from
Hafiz
Hayat Campus and the
constituent
colleges participated in the competitions. Renowned
Qurra’a and
Na’at Khawns from Gujrat were
invited as judges. Vice Chancellor of the university of Gujrat
Professor Dr. Muhammad Nizamuddin was the chief guest of the
function. Students, faculty and management staff attended the
session. More than thirty students
participated in the competition.
Hafiz
Ahsan Ullah achieved first position, Usama Razzaq from CS & IT
Department second
and
Ms Maryam Abdul Aziz was declared third
in the Qira’at
competition.
Among the Na’at competitors , Syed Jawad
Hassan from CS & IT Department topped the contest. Sulema Raqib
from UOG G.T.Road College obtained second while Hassan Iqbal
from School of Administrative Sciences got third position.
