15 Loaded Trucks with Relief Aid of Ten Million Rupees
from UOG Leave for
Khyber Pakhtoonkhwa

15 Trucks loaded with rations food and eatables, have left for
Swat, Mingora and Khawaja Khel under the leadership of Ms. Jehan
Ara Nizam, for relief of the flood affected people of Kyber
Pakhtoonkhwa. This flood aid Caravan has been dispatched by Prof
Dr. Nizamuddin Vice Chancellor of the University of Gujrat. This
sustenance is the result of joint efforts launched by UOG and
the Pakistan Army. Within a week almost ten million rupees have
been collected as donations by the people. The UOG employees
earlier on contributed Rs. Six Hundred thousand towards the
Flood Relief Fund. The student teams have been operative under
the guidance and supervision of Ms. Aneesa Rahat, Director
Students Services, Dr. Zafaryab and Colonel Mujahid Ali. At this
momentous occasion, Prof Dr. Mohammad Nizamuddin stressed the
moral duty of all Pakistanees to come up to the expectations of
nation and contribute towards the grief stricken, helpless,
flood affected miserable countrymen who have bore the brunt of
flood calamity. UOG will leave no stone unturned in providing
succor to the devastated families. It remains our national
religious moral and human responsibility. He hoped that this
transmission of goods to the needy will continue (by the grace
of God) till their rehabilitation. He highly appreciated the
cooperation of the people of Gujrat. He was much moved by the
sentiments shown by the people and the spirit of fraternity and
humanity with which they devotedly contributed towards the
relief fund. He extolled those philanthropists industrialists,
businessmen traders and good hearted citizens who whole
heartedly responded to the call of UOG, which also shows the
confidence they hold in the UOG. We (by the grace of God) shall
come upto the expectations of the people of Gujrat. We will
always be at forefront for any national service. UOG shall (God
willing) play a leading role in the role of Universities for
national uplift and progress.
