Annual two-days Sports
Gala began here at the University of Gujrat Hafiz Hayat Campus
today the 30th
of March 2010 , amid enthusiastic
scenes of jubilation, vociferous drumming and youthful fervor.
District Coordination Officer Gujrat, Sardar Javed Akram
launched the Sports competition. Ann Opening ceremony of the
Gala resounded
with thunder of crackers ,setting afloat a large cluster of
balloons and let going of a large number of pigeons. After
opening the event,Mr. Javed Akram along with the Vice Chancellor
of the university of Gujrat Prof Dr. Nizamuddin inspected the
participant teams assembled in the athletic track. Chairman UOG

Aziz Kamboh also
accompanied
the guests .
Earlier in the morning, the Vice Chancellor was enthusiastically
welcomed at the venue by jubilant crowds of Students ‘ dancing
emotionally on the beat of drums. Students from UOG Railway Road
Girls College Gujrat demonstrated martial art fetes. Later
100Meter, 200Meter races, Shot-put,
Hammer Throw and Long Jump competitions were held as the first
day events of the Gala.
