2nd Round Laptop Distribution Ceremony for Outgoing Sessions of Evening Registered & Morning Classes


 

Laptop Distribution Ceremony amongst the students of Outgoing Sessions of Evening Registered & Morning Classes of University of Gujrat will be held on June 11th, 2012 in University Campus. Laptops to the remaining students of morning and evening sessions shall be awarded in the 2nd round after Summer Break.

Lists of Morning and Evening students who will be awarded laptops on June 11, 2012 are attached. All the selected students are advised to collect undertaking forms from SSC and submit along with an affidavit that they are not working in any public or private organisation. The last date to submit undertaking forms and affidavits is June 8, 2012.

Instruction for Registered/Eligible Students for Free Laptop Scheme of CM

 

Dear Students

Honorable Chief Minister Punjab has scheduled to visit the University of Gujrat (UOG) for distribution of laptops on Thursday, March 15, 2012 at 8:30 am. All the students of UOG registered/ eligible candidates (as per criteria of the Govt of Punjab) for Laptop Scheme are advised to attend the ceremony as per schedule (above mentioned).

 

All students are required to report for final rehearsal on Wednesday, March 14, 2012 at 9:00 a.m. in front of Academic Block along with undertaking forms, student ID Card and CNIC

Note:

1. Students are strictly advised to bring their CNIC and display their UOG ID card on both days (March 14-15, 2012).   No entrance in UOG shall be allowed without CNIC and UOG ID card during the said days.

2. Print Material of Undertaking Forms should be very clear; Photocopy of the Forms will not be acceptable.

3. If any Candidate/Student provide wrong information(Particularly Regarding Employment in Private/Public Sector for both Morning and Evening Students), the UOG Management will take a strict disciplinary action and will be dealt accordingly to Pakistan Govt Law.

Eligibility Criteria for Laptop Scheme

 

All Eligible students who have not been able to register for any reason shall be getting the laptops in the second round of laptop distribution, scheduled to start in March 2012. And will be registered by UOG/Education Department, accordingly.

 

 Eligibility Criteria        

One hundred thousand Laptops will be provided to following categories of youth in Punjab:

Marks will be on GPA based not on CGPA.

    • All students of 4 years BS Degree Programme who have secured
  • 60% or above marks (in the previous year) in case of annual examination system OR
  • 70% or above marks (in the previous semester) in case of semester system
    • All post graduate students (Part I & II) of 2 year Masters Degree Programme, who have secured
  • 60% or above marks (in the previous year) in case of annual examination system OR
  • 70% or above marks (in the previous semester) in case of semester system
    • All students of Engineering Universities and Medical Colleges, who have secured
  • 60% or above marks (in the previous year) in case of annual examination system OR
  • 70% or above marks (in the previous semester) in case of semester system
  • All currently enrolled students/scholars of MS, LLM, M.Phil and Ph.D
  • The top 100 students of each Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education of Punjab

        In case of 1st year students, the data for the last examination in which the student appeared, shall be considered.  

 

       

However, the following are NOT ELIGIBLE for this initiative:        

  1. Students of Private Sector Institution.
  2. MPhil/PhD/LLM/MS candidates who have already availed a similar facility or any benefit from HEC.
  3. All MPhil/PhD/LLM/MS/Evening Program Candidates who are currently employed/working either in Public or Private Sectors.
  4. Students who have F Grade/Supply, OR Students who freeze their Semester due to any reason, OR Dropped Students.
Students who have been registered, but fall in (NOT ELIGIBLE) Category, may considered as INELIGIBLE for the Laptop Scheme.
